My Portfolio
As part of improving internal operations at Charterhouse Lagos, I designed and deployed an automated requisition workflow using Microsoft Power Automate. The goal was to eliminate the delays and manual errors that came with paper-based approvals and to streamline how requests move through different levels of authorization.
The solution I built uses a structured flow of conditional logic (as shown in the workflow diagram) to route each requisition based on its department, threshold, and required approval stage. The system automatically checks predefined conditions, sends the request to the right approver, and triggers notifications at every step.
Key Outcomes
Reduced paperwork across departments by fully digitizing the requisition process
Faster approval cycles, cutting down overall requisition time by removing manual handovers
Clearer accountability, since every step is logged, time-stamped, and tracked
Consistent routing, ensuring requests always follow the correct approval path
Improved transparency, allowing users to see the status of their requests without chasing anyone
My Role
I led the design and setup of the full workflow, from mapping out the approval logic to building the automated system in Power Automate. This involved testing multiple edge cases, creating condition branches, and ensuring the flow worked seamlessly across various requisition scenarios.
The result is a cleaner, more efficient process that saves time for both staff and management, reduces bottlenecks, and supports our move toward a more digital and structured operational culture.
